Brain Awareness Day

March 14th 2013

Brain Awareness Day at UC Riverside is a student organized event that brings together faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, local schools and the community to celebrate the brain. This event is a part of The Brain Awareness Week campaign. The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives founded the now global campaign in 1996. Since its start, more than 2,800 partners in 82 countries have participated in the campaign. Please come join us!


We will have a brain festival that includes

  • Neuroscience Demonstrations conducted by graduate students
  • Poster presentations of current research by our neuroscience department
  • Lunch!
  • A lecture series conducted by UCR faculty to explain current concepts of neuroscience and pathways in to this field
  • Brain Awareness Day 2013 shirts hand printed by Canyon Springs High School Students


The event will be held on Thursday March 14th 2013 from 11am-2pm


The majority of the event will take place outside of the Department of Psychology University of California 900 University Ave. Riverside, CA 92521.
