Purpose of the Neuroscience Graduate Student Association

The Neuroscience Graduate Student Association (NGSA) is an integral and complementary part of the Neuroscience Graduate Program. We are an independently run and recognized student organization that volunteers to assist each other’s personal and professional growth. Through our Professional Development Series, we students are able to meet with guest speakers from alternate career paths that are open to neuroscientists whose interests and talents might lead to areas such as biotechnology, science administration, clinical writing, and many others. We strive to create outreach opportunities for our local community, namely through Brain Awareness Day where everyone’s efforts are needed to host a successful event each year (see past event photos here)!
